Marybeth Bond's award-winning books, Travelers' Tales: A Woman's World and Gutsy Women, have made her a "Specialist in Women's Travel." She has been seen on CNN, NBC, ABC, America Online and heard on National Public Radio discussing women. Gutsy Women was recently featured on the TODAY SHOW, and A Woman's World won the Lowell Thomas GOLD Award for the Best Travel Book of the Year.

Marybeth has been writing for fifteen years. She was the travel editor for City Sports Magazine and is presently a contributing editor to Microsoft's Online Adventure Travel Magazine: Mungo Park and to Adventure Travel Business Magazine.

Marybeth has trekked across the Himalayas, the Andes, and the Alps. She has ridden camels across the Thar and Sahara deserts and elephants through the jungles of Asia. At age 30, fed up with a corporate job in the computer industry, she took off to travel for two years around the world SOLO. Today, Marybeth has two jobs, two kids, two mortgages, a husband, and a dog. She lives in Northern California and still manages to travel with her family, her girlfriends, and alone.
