Marybeth Bond, guest editor for Travelers' Tales, has been writing and
editing for ten years. Bond, editor of award-winning Travelers' Tales: A
Woman's World and author of Gutsy Women: Travel Tips and Wisdom for the
Road, quit her job at the age of 29 to travel solo around the world for
two years. Her amazing adventures, along with her infectious speaking style,
have made her "the expert" on women's travels.
Travelers' Tales is now the leading publisher of women's nonfiction
travel stories. In only three months, Travelers' Tales Gutsy Women
has gone to its second printing. Its popularity has inspired Marybeth,
now mother of two, to write her next book, Travelers' Tales Gutsy Mamas,
a tip book for the mother traveling with her children. Look for
Gutsy Mamas this summer.
Recently, the Discover Card and National Geographic chose Marybeth Bond as
their media representative (Oct. 96 - Feb. 97). She appeared on national
television, radio, and newspapers speaking about adventure travel and Gutsy
Women. She spoke to thousands of people sharing her secrets for safe,
affordable, and stimulating travel for women traveling alone or with others.
Marybeth continues to promote herself nationally through television, radio,
print, and public speaking events.
