Anecdote of the Day from 365 Travel
MANAGUA, NICARAGUA
The most attractive feature of Managua is the habit its people have, in the evening, of bringing their rocking-chairs out on to the pavement. It is impossible to walk more than a few yards down a street, for at almost every front door one is stopped by a family circle, all bobbing up and down in their chairs, and forcing one to step out into the traffic. But one doesn't complain, for it is a friendly and aesthetic custom.
