Dear Joel,

My husband passed away this past March and has many miles on several different airlines...Delta, United, American, etc.

Am I, as his widow, entitled to use these miles? If not "legally," how would you suggest me benefiting from them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dear Sande,

You should not have any problems having the miles transferred to you as the spouse. You will need to contact each airline and inquire as to their proper procedures. Most likely you will have to pay a nominal transfer fee and show a certificate of death.
