Date: July 17, 2000 From: Tracy Smith To: Penny Pincher Subject: Credit card w/ frequent flier miles Dear Joel, I would like to find a credit card that has frequent flier miles for purchases. I prefer Continental or Delta, but I hear that some can be used with several different airlines. I would like to be able to use the miles on domestic or international flights.
Thanks,
Dear Tracy, If you're looking for a card strictly to use on Delta you can apply for their Sky-Mile Optima Account (1-800-sky-miles). Delta is currently offering a bonus enrollment of 10,000 miles when approved for the Gold Sky Miles Card. If you are looking to keep your options open you might want to consider either the American Express Card (1-800- 843-2273) or the Diners Club Card (1-800-234-6377). The Diners Club Card is offering an enrollment bonus of 12,000 miles spread out over 12 months, 1000 miles per monthly usage on the card. Both of these cards will provide the flexibility to transfer your miles into a variety of programs.
Good luck,
